Q: How did the Ford Mustang impact the car industry?
I’m writing a paper about the Ford Mustang. I would like to include how it impacted the car industry and how it also impacted people. I have tried to look through books and the internet but i can’t find a site that has something like that. Could someone please help?
A: it was the catalyst for whole “pony car” class of car during the 60’s….it of course promted chevy to create/introduce the camaro 3yrs later to try and compete
(though it never sold as well as the mustang)
It also helped kickstart/influence the whole muscle car era,though the mustang itself was generally NOT a muscle car (though there are a few models that meet the criteria)
Q: Does a 1992 AOD transmission from a ford mustang fit into a Mercury grand marquis of the same year?
I have a 1992 grand marquis v8 4.6 L and I need a transmission for it. Does a 1992 Ford mustang (5.0L) transmission work?
A: the marquis is a bit larger but it should be a good fit. the clutches could have different tolerances though.
Q: 2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?
Hello, My Ford Mustang will not start. When I turn the key the engine makes a clicking noise.
However, The lights/radio still work. I tried to get a jump start and that didn’t work either. However the guy I got the jump start from reccomended that I get someone and let the battery charge for 20 min. Is this the case? Or is there another problem?

A: Sounds like a starter issue, if the battery or alternator were the problem your radio and lights wouldn’t work and it would have been easy to jump start.

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang and I am not quite sure how many quarts of oil I should use. I am changing my own oil and am confused as to how many I should buy.

A: According to the owners guide (page 206) Both engines (the 3.8-V6 and the 4.6-V8) require 4.7L (5.0 quarts), of Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Super Premium Motor Oil.
and the recommended oil filter (Ford part numbers) are:
FL-400S for the V6
FL-820S for the V8

A: Lots. It’s considered a sport muscle car. Even for an adult with a good record it would be high, but for a new driver it would run as high or higher than your car payment.

the ford mustang is very long in relation to its wheelbase. those big arches are so ugly. the wheel/tire look so small in relation to the car. plus the interior is awful. i like the fact that the mustang is rwd and has better mileage. what do u guys think?

A: before i would buy a new one, i would call as many junk yards as possible to see if they can match up a 87 ford mustang windshield in good shape.

A: Insurance companies do not want to insure 16 year old male drivers except at very high rates. That is because 16 to 21 yo drivers as a class have horrendous accident rates. You need to either contact a local agent or broker in your area or put the words auto insurance quote in your search engine and pick your poison. I recommend contacting an agent or broker who can give you accurate information.r

I own a 1994 Ford Mustang V-6. I have changed the battery, serpentine belt and alternator and I am still loosing power. I can only go about 20 miles on a charged battery. Is there any other reason why my car is not keeping voltage?
A: i had a similar problem with my 95. What i found out was that my fuse box was not bolted down enough and that both battery termonals were not tightend enough. they felt tight but i still had power loss and then no power. there are 2 bolts on each term. one 1/2 ince and one 5/8. (5/8 I believe, 1/2 for sure for one) tighten all the terms and then follow the pos cable to the fuse box. clean the connection there and then tighten the cable to the fuse box.
Also check your ground wire. there should be a braided type cord that goes from engine to firewall. undo the bolts and clean the connections. make sure that the firewall connection is clean and a little metal showing. then conect the cord and tighten.
also you could have gotten a bad (new) alternator. new ones are often remanufactured and not the best. (I went through 2 in a grand am because of that)
If you still experience problems keeping power it seams like you have a bad ground somewhere else in the car and you would need a mechanic to look and fix. (unless your a mechanic with a lot of time. -wireharness have so many wires and go into somany hard to reach places)
After that I do not know unless I would have a look at it.
I own a 95 3.8L bored to a 4.0L and ran into them similar problems.

Q: i have a 1973 ford mustang i want to know what its worth?
my mustang has a brand new 351 cid ford racing engine block. it also has a 4 speed transmission and new clutch. just repainted. i would like to know an aprox. value as the engine alone is worth close to 7000.
its a coupe not a mach1 or convertible. the original engine was a 301 cid. it is yellow with black racing stripes.
A: id say the best way to know is to go to www.kbb.com and look it up to see what the car itself is worth then take all the addons u have and add about 20% of their value to it…sry to break it to ya but puttin money into a car really doesnt increase value much
